Princesses in Disguise | Fairy Tale Novels

A few days ago my sister Ruth and I decided to take some photos for a contest hosted by Regina Doman. Yesterday I realized that the due date of entries was the 15th and for some reason I was thinking the 20th. So these pictures are late and probably won’t make it into the contest, but that’s okay because Ruth and I had so much fun taking them and hopefully Doman enjoys them as well. We have loved these books ever since high school! And we still enjoy reading them today.

My sense of fashion has been heavily influenced by Rose Briar over the years. In these pictures, I was going for Rose and Ruth was going for Blanche but I think we could be either one of the characters in these pictures. Needless to say, the spirit of the story and the theme “princesses in disguise” is captured in these pictures.

Inspiration: Unlikely Cinderellas

Inspiration: Rose in Bloom

Inspiration: Ongoing Adventures!

This is a picture taken of my older sister Anna and I at her wedding in 2013 and it always reminded me of Rose and Blanche. The contrast of red and white helps but also the relationship between Rose and Blanche always reminds me of the sweet friendships I have with all my older sisters and my younger sister.

Thank you, Anna, for letting us borrow your camera! Thank you to all my sisters for being my biggest supporters and dearest friends.

And finally, thank you Regina for writing the Fairy Tale Novels and for inspiring all of us to live in this world but not of it, to recognize our Royal identity in Jesus Christ.

    1. I found the gold dress at a thrift store years ago! Last winter I got to wear it to a ball and it was the best dress to dance in! :)

    1. Thank you, Becca! I've always loved that picture from Anna's wedding. I should have mentioned in my post that I bought the gold dress and the rose dress at a thrift store! The gold ball gown was at a local thrift shop and the rose dress was from a Goodwill. :)
